Educational Travel

Custom Academic Programs

Spain Savvy has decades of experience designing Educational Travel custom programs for student groups that combine authentic, cultural travel with a language learning (or alternative) academic component. These programs can be faculty-led or we can provide our own on-site faculty and support for language learning. In addition to our local partnership with La Casa Sevilla (offering Spanish classes in the city of Seville), Spain Savvy also partners with local academies to procure classroom space for on-site instruction if needed.

Educational travel doesn’t just have to be about language learning!

Some programs we have developed for past clients have included:

  • Business programs including specialized company visits

  • Music/dance programs including master folkloric classes with local experts

  • Religious studies programs focussing on the Three Cultures (Spain/Morocco)

  • Teacher training programs including placement as teacher assistants at local schools

  • Au pair programs for young Americans placed with Spanish families and including Spanish language training

  • High school summer travel programs (with possibility to set up direct exchange programs with local Spanish schools)

  • Cultural immersion programs in Seville (with possibility for daily academic classes and long-term lodging)

Client Testimonials

I had the pleasure of working with Sarah Gemba on a group trip to Spain and Portugal for Princeton University. Sarah was highly engaged with our trip organizers and worked closely with us from the start. She was an integral parting of the trip planning process and her deep knowledge of the destinations she offers helped us greatly in designing an excellent program for our students and faculty. Sarah is knowledgeable, professional and responsive. She knows how to create an intriguing group program and provide a seamless travel experience. She responds quickly to situations that occur during the trip and she is adept at fixing things that need fixing along the way. I look forward to working with her again on our group programs.
