Sarah Gemba
After visiting a friend in Mexico at just 10 years old, Sarah began a lifelong love affair with the Spanish language that led her to studying abroad in Seville, and eventually making it her home in 2004. Since then, she has designed high-end tailored travel experiences for thousands of clients, sending them off to Spain, Portugal, France, Morocco, Italy, and beyond. When not running a successful travel company, she enjoys traveling with her family and exploring boutique hotels around Spain.
Daniel Egea
Born and raised in Seville, Daniel works behind the scenes to make sure local business operations run smoothly. He also helps organize local cultural tours or private experiences in town. Married to Sarah, Daniel is passionate about bringing the best of his home country to each and every client. He’s also an avid Feria goer and loves to teach clients how to cook an authentic Spanish paella.
Cyra Alcock
Cyra has been working in tourism in Spain and Portugal since 2012, leading group tours across both countries, guiding food tours in sunny Seville, and designing food tours across the Iberian Peninsula for one of Spain's top culinary tour operators. She is a food and travel lover who has explored Spain and Portugal extensively, having visited every region in both countries, as well as elsewhere in Europe and the world.
Megan Lloyd
Megan Lloyd is a food and travel writer living in Seville, with publications in spots like Condé Nast Traveler. She’s also an avid traveler who knows her way around the corners of Spain and greater Europe. Though originally from Houston, she fell in love with Spain over 12 years ago and eventually found a niche telling the delicious stories of her adopted country; she’s passionate about helping other travelers experience the same insider magic firsthand.
Luis Andrade
Luis has been guiding visitors through the Andalusian region of Spain, as well as Portugal and Morocco, for over a decade. Growing up in Cádiz and Sevilla, he developed a deep love for the region’s natural beauty and is passionate about exploring the countryside and coastline by foot, bike, boat, or even surf. His tailored tours of Andalucía are more than just glimpses of famous monuments, but rather deep dives into the history, culture, and daily life of the people who call this region home.
Raquel Barea
Raquel, born and raised in Seville, fell in love with traveling and the English language at a young age. She has a degree in Tourism and Business from the University of Seville, is a certified official guide, and has over 20 years of experience in the tourism sector. Raquel has spent long periods abroad in English-speaking countries and brings an innate passion to her wide variety of tours, focusing on showing visitors the best of the past, present, and future of Seville.
Rodrigo Romojaro
Founder of White House Tours, Rodrigo loves people to feel as though they are with a friend on his tours–to learn, enjoy the fascinating landscape, and fall in love with the Spanish culture, food, and people. His vision is to help travelers discover the hidden treasures of this part of the world, getting out of the touristy spots and into the untouched areas of southern Spain.
Francesc García
Catalonia region. He has been designing and executing personalized tours with Barcelona365 since 2010 within the city, as well as to the surrounding areas like Girona, the Costa Brava and Montserrat. The seamless execution and jovial atmosphere he creates for his guests have consistently left our Spain Savvy clients wanting more. Francesc particularly loves to share his knowledge of the history, gastronomy, and natural beauty of this region.
Iker Bardaji
Founder of Basque Guides, Iker was born in San Sebastian but has visited over 50 countries, but is passionate about showing travelers a unique and local perspective of his home. He has extensive experience guiding in the Basque Country, as well as the French-Basque Country and the Rioja wine region. He loves to show clients those off-the-beaten-path spots, always adding his own local perspective and unique stories. He is also a part of an official Gastronomy Club in San Sebastian, which adds delicious value to his tours and recommendations.
Gina Vasquez
Founder of Visit My Mallorca, Gina is originally from Southern California, and has called Spain’s Balearic Islands home for nearly three decades. When she’s not showing Spain Savvy visitors what she loves about island living, she’s out in the field looking for new experiences. Some days you will find her in a vineyard, taking a course on extra-virgin olive oil, checking out the latest restaurant, or visiting an artist’s studio.
Rebeca Pérez
Founder of Rioja Like a Native, Rebeca was born and raised in La Rioja. She comes from a family of wine-growers, so her passion for wine runs through her veins! After completing her MBA in the UK, she worked in wine exploration and developed close relationships with local winemakers. Rioja Like a Native was born from her passion for the region and love of travel. Harnessing her knowledge and relationships with local wineries, she inspires and educates guests with warm and exceptional service, and is a true ambassador for one of the best wine regions of the world.
